This was originally the study, but we've repurposed it as a living room instead. It has tall, coffered ceilings and heavily molded throughout. I wanted to the foal point of the room to be the windows, but I'm having trouble rearranging the furniture we already have. I liked the idea of putting the loveseat at a diagonal, but it seems to create awkward spaces in junction with the rest of the pieces. I was thinking of placing the sofa table (half hidden, behind the chairs, in the picture) as a desk, right against the windows, but the style of the table doesn't lend itself well as a desk (in my opinion). I'm also not sure about the placement of the sofa table anymore. Should I put it somewhere, in sight, upon entering through the french doors? What sort of decor, accent pieces, lighting and colors would lend itself well with the existing pieces. What type of art work would be fitting? Mirrors, etc? I would really appreciate your help!
