In your space, the curtains are the most interesting detail. I like the large glass curio case, the large bird themed art and tree. Now you need to take cues from that and continue that in the furnishings. Everything is a bit too small. If you really want to make your space feel cozy and relaxing...consider a heftier couch and more substantial chairs. Get a larger coffee table, the ones you have now are feel lost in the space. If you want a modern organic edge find a couch with cleaner lines (like a modern take of a chesterfield, and upholster it a deep green linen, get some wingbacks in a distressed camel leather, find a long oval wooden base coffee table from a thrift store or consignment shop and have a piece of marble cut to put on top. I'm positive if you start off with this, you'll be on your way to creating the room you are looking for.
