Cutie patooties! I agree with paulacooper. You have the necessary components, they just need to be rearranged a bit. However, something tells me the chairs will stay where they are for optimal tv viewing. In a perfect world, the sofa would go on the long wall w/art centered over it and the chairs would go in front of the window. But you have to live comfortably and have things how they work best for you. I would try placing the end tables and those terrific lamps at either end of the sofa for better visual balance. Then I would add a round side table and lamp between the recliners. If you don't have a 3rd side table/lamp and can't get one, I'd move the rectangular table w/lamp to the corner to left of front window and place round one w/lamp between chairs. Long panels instead of valance hung wide to frame sofa would instantly update the look of the whole room. Add a new lighter rug when able that coordinates w/drapes and furniture. Have fun playing with those adorable pups!

I really love the blanket throws you use in your room , especially the afghan throw . I think this room might need a lighter color rug , maybe pull some of the lighter tones of color from the afghan throw onto a rug. the dogs are great. I think maybe some artwork of dogs in 60's style would complete the walls, since a dog lover is so obvious :

You really have some beautiful pieces of funiture. I love your lamps. I think this room just needs a better furniture arrangement and some larger art work on the walls. I would also opt for long panel curtains on each side of the window and take the valance down. Some pillows would look great on the couch.
