Mychaeltodd your space is very nice and inviting, I'm sure you have other things your planning, so forget about what no face people say, they probably can't afford the stuff you toss away or give away. The rug compliments the chairs and the regency look is a look most people will never attempt, it's obvious you know where this look is going and I can't wait for the finished result, caramel/camel sounds like a color you should stay away from, those were never regency colors. Do you and teach those who have no taste.....Lol

Love your space, Mychael. It's warm and ambient. Don't listen to naysayers, especially when they've contributed no work of their own. Such people present themselves as experts, and expect us to take their word for it.

I can see where you are going...but this is a bit much. The addition of the wall color helps, but the conglomeration of the patterns is distracting. The rug, though a better size, fights with the chairs. Consider adding more of the caramel/camel tones in your wood pieces to add another layer of complexity to the mix. If you are striving for a Regency look, think about changing the sheers for a heavier wool or velvet. The textural value alone would add much, and the visual weight would add the luxury i think you are looking for.

I changed the rug and the original coclor was semi-gloss white, this is the new Comex flat paint thats scrubable.

Which is the old and which is the new? Either way, I like them both! isn't it amazing what a difference the paint color makes in the look and feel of a space?!
