This is a space about curtains, such as design curtains, custom made curtains and window treatment solutions. I'm wondering you like my space and give it a rate.

Decorating from scratch in basic old/ new house. Large great room area with plain small floor tiles, large window, sliding doors and dining area. Kitchen counters and kitchen visible from all angles. This house is 10 years old and had no upgrades of any kind. Had to decorate on a budget as we had moved and left almost everything behind. Kept antique cabinet, dining table and chairs. Found items for resale in a variety of places, also online stores and some discount stores and sales in popular retail stores. Drapery fabric was ordered online very discounted..made by local seamstress inexpensively. Media wall built in with lighting was biggest expense. Natural carpet flanked by oriental runners so it appears to be a big rug underneath. Secondhand Coffee table from the 60's looked very current and was a find at $30. Orange, green and grey are my primary colors with shades of aqua in paintings, etc. Artwork primarily my own to match. Kept dining table small but it extends with 4 leaves for company. Antique brass pieces on table were my mother's. Hand carved wooden bowl on coffee table from estate sale. I use colored or white books to fill in all over. Still need dining area chandelier.

The living room is meant to be cozy but breezy, bringing the beach to Texas. Almost all the items used are clearance from Pier 1 and Home Goods.
I decorated our living room a few years ago and since then my taste has modernized a bit. I'm thinking of repainting the living space and kitchen with something a bit more updated. The oak has to stay. Looking for some grays to contrast with the oak. We will also be keeping the furniture but would accessorize with new pillows, throws, etc. To be honest my taste naturally gravitates to cool colors which is in contrast with the warm oak of my home. Any links to colors or accessories would be greatly appreciated!
