It's no secret: I LOVE to change my decor for the seasons - from pillows to panels and a little shift to shopping thrift -- here are various versions from some of the many seasonal changes I made to our Florida townhome - mainly the living room and entry. I'd have to say, most of the changes were possible because of the neutral foundation: a white sofa that I've had sine 1998. While living in Arizona now, I probably do a little less seasonal shifting - partly because we do experience some seasonal changes [for as hot as it is in Summer, it is cold in Winter plus a drive north and we can see leaves changing or even snow!] Since our move, I've also donated some of the pillows & panels for others to enjoy a quick restyle and a lot of bedding & bath textiles [not shown here] I sent to New Jersey to help after SuperStorm Sandy in 2012.
Need some suggestions! Wanted to do Moraccan inspired room. What color accents should go go with for rugs and pillows? Any good ideas on what to do with this room!?
Although I don't switch out the window panels as often here in our AZ rented home, I do still enjoy changes the accents for the seasons. Pillow covers, travel treasure and some framed fabric added color and lightness to our living room for Summer. And a $5 thrift find from here in AZ - the bar cart - Gave a space to pull out some extra barware for entertaining, and making a pitcher of margaritas! Adding the blues helped keep the space cool for the hot Arizona summer...
Here is the den off our small foyer with a coastal cottage feel. I'm constantly changing this room, but we recently put our house on the market, so I wanted to capture it here so that I can remember it for our next house.
I am constantly searching for open floor plan ideas - so thought by uploading my own space here - it might help others. We just put our house on the market so I also want to keep this out there so I can re-create when we move into a new space.
