When we moved in the walls were a rust color. I painted them a chocolate brown and absolutely love the color. So warm! Cream and brown shades are the color scheme for our new living room.

Here is my familly room, after I have redone about everything in it - took me over 6 months to remodel/decorate my new house. We removed all the old wood paneling, I added a new fireplace mantel and sides (there were nothing there before), did the texture on the wall, and color, added some stencils. The vinyl floor was replaced with wooden floor, new chandelier...

I am renting this little 50's ranch after a divorce but I find it actually suits some of my mid century modern pieces. The woodwork is not my taste but somehow it works. It is cozy and I love it.
