Are you wanting HGTV to rescue you [not likely] or are you willing to do the work? Start by doing a thorough dejunking and cleaning. You can't have a pretty space when it is cluttered and dirty. Keep only the things you use regularly or really, really love. Establish a storage system. Large baskets on your shelves would look nice. Check to see if your couch cushion covers are machine washable. Mine are. Remove them and wash 1-2 at a time. I tumble-dried mine, but again you need to check. When you put them back on, add some extra batting [from a fabric or craft store] in the corners. Buy a new large neutral area rug [8x10]. Now switch your sofa and loveseat so the sofa faces the tv. Place the area rug and coffee table so their long ends run the same direction as the sofa. If you can, replace the coffee table with a large brown rectangular leather storage ottoman. Store extra bedding for guests in it. Last, add some pops of an accent color in pillows.
