Nice beginning but too much furniture. Why do you have two recliners and two couches? This appears to be a small apt. I agree with Melrose 80, maybe think about some colour and removing some furniture.

As you say that this is an apartment, you probably can't paint, so perhaps you could add a bit of color in other ways. Possibilities include a stronger rug, some pillows with colors from your artwork, some drapes the same principle. The room seems extremely crowded. Would it be possbile to get rid of one of the recliners or the loveseat, perhaps to be used elsewhere? When needed, chairs could be brought in from the dining room. As it is, a coffee table would really leave no walking space at all, and would be hit by a recliner when extended.
