I wonder...how would you feel about some rearranging? My thinking is this...put the TV where the mirror is; put the sofa where the big plant is; put the patterned fabric chair where the tv is; and the recliner, next to the sofa, mostly where the patterned chair now is. When circumstances permit, a very large area rug would help bring together all the different parts of this room. Good luck.

Not sure why people would rate so low but not provide any feedback. I think a next step here is a good declutter. Figuring out your focal point and bringing in an inspiration piece and working from there would be next...IMO.

Living Room, In my 1930's home, I've tried hard to integrate my modern taste with some of the traditional elements, such as the moldings and archways. In my living room, I used a sort of greige-ish hue to accent my red couch and chair. My coffee table is from my grandmother's farmhouse - freshened up with a coat of glossy black paint on the base.
