This was my very first attempt at designing a room. What you don't see is all the wiring for the surround sound in the walls, the electrician's work for the sconces for which I have a dimmer for watching a flick for that movie theater feel. After years of watching the design shows on HGTV and always a fan of the contemporary look I simply went for it. I'm not a professional designer by any means but I thought what the heck. I'm going for it. I really am enjoying it and like the results. Hope you like it too. And except for the electrical work and the new concrete floor I did every inch of the work myself.
