I live in a row home and my family room has a seven foot high ceiling so building a home theater room was virtually impossible with tiered seating and all. The room is 19 feet wide and 17 feet long. I call it the International room since I have a Japanese 3D HD television, wall sconces from Germany, stone tile from Israel, carpets from Canada. I didn't have a design plan except one of the designers on HGTV said if you have dark furniture colors use light walls that make it pop. David Bromstat one night had feaux walls with black furniture and espresso cabinets and the ides started from there.
