We just replaced a set of french doors with this single door (long story now I need ideas quick for what to do with the extra wall space. A place to sit and remove shoes would be nice. We have lots of extra mirror left over my daughter thought of a chalkboard on one side.We are literally in the middle of finishing this so excuse the mess. I also included some pics of the outside so any ideas there would be great also. Thanks

Almost completed Kitchen, Okay Ladies and Gents I need opinions We are almost thru with the kitchen and I have been wanting to stencil a rug, I took this dark brown runner I had in the kitchen and applied a stencil. What do you think? Should I add the stencil to the other 2 corners or what? I was planning on running it all the way down both sides glad I didn't. Let me know, Kitchens Design

In the middle of a complete Remodel, This is a guest/youngest child's bathroom. It's the typical 3piece space. I painted the vanity a Brown Velvet and was very happy with the way it turned out. Found the vanity top and faucet on Craigslist, the color matches great. I had the niche with shelf built for ???? We'll see what goes there. Anyway my dilemina what color do I paint the trim on the niche and possible trim around mirror. The door and trim is moderate White with the Walls being Macademia. Do I just paint all the trim in the bathroom the brown velvet or the Moderate White. I plan on finding an oval mirror to put over the sink pretty small place. Any advice would be appreciated. Our Little Cabin Getaway, Our little rustic cabin has been kept rustic with no electricity, no plumbing and a fireplace for heat. It is a great retreat for us just get away from it all and get back to the simple way of life.. We do use oil lamps, candles and battery operated emergency lights. We presently are in the stages of building a gravity fed outside shower and a thunderbox. We do have a well and plan on assembling a piston style hand pump to it so we can get fresh water when needed. A fire pit is our only means of boiling water and cooking food.. The cabin is located on our home property in the woods so we have the privacy we wanted. Even though we have a home there is something very special about our cabin and the natural way of living. The best part is there are no heat bills, water bills or electricity bills. and yet you have fun doing things for yourself and being creative. , Other Spaces Design

Foyer/Entryway, This is our tiny foyer/entryway. The front door is to the right, and den and guest bath to the left. Storage cubby mounted on right wall is useful for keys, hats, etc. Very small space, but the skylight helps to keep it light and bright. I've tried various furniture configurations. Decoupaged Checkerboard Floors, This basement renovation included the bathroom/laundry room. Freshly painted, the white washer and dryer, along with the cabinetry, go perfectly with the crisp style of checkerboard. The cement floor was smooth but not super level, which is no problem for decoupage! Once finished, it's easy to damp mop clean with no grout line or cracks between tiles to catch dirt., Other Spaces Design
