My husband and I bought our first home this summer, which allowed me to go from "AZAptLiving" to "AZLovingHome." These pictures were taken the day of our inspection, and it was actually the first glimpse I got of the home's interior beyond what I could see from peeking in windows. After about two months of searching, we took a leap of faith--we're very religious--and made an offer on this house before we had a chance to do a walk-through. I couldn't be happier!

Creative, budget-friendly toddler room, I recently rearranged the furniture in my two-year-old son's room, and it also gave me the inspiration to finally finish the decorating I started before he was born. We live in an apartment, so we can't paint. Instead, I tried to bring color into the room through artwork. The frog theme originated from our first ultra sound images--I told everyone my son looked like a frog, and my dad told me frogs turn into charming princes. He was right. Our Little Cabin Getaway, Our little rustic cabin has been kept rustic with no electricity, no plumbing and a fireplace for heat. It is a great retreat for us just get away from it all and get back to the simple way of life.. We do use oil lamps, candles and battery operated emergency lights. We presently are in the stages of building a gravity fed outside shower and a thunderbox. We do have a well and plan on assembling a piston style hand pump to it so we can get fresh water when needed. A fire pit is our only means of boiling water and cooking food.. The cabin is located on our home property in the woods so we have the privacy we wanted. Even though we have a home there is something very special about our cabin and the natural way of living. The best part is there are no heat bills, water bills or electricity bills. and yet you have fun doing things for yourself and being creative. , Other Spaces Design

Foyer/Entryway, This is our tiny foyer/entryway. The front door is to the right, and den and guest bath to the left. Storage cubby mounted on right wall is useful for keys, hats, etc. Very small space, but the skylight helps to keep it light and bright. I've tried various furniture configurations. Decoupaged Checkerboard Floors, This basement renovation included the bathroom/laundry room. Freshly painted, the white washer and dryer, along with the cabinetry, go perfectly with the crisp style of checkerboard. The cement floor was smooth but not super level, which is no problem for decoupage! Once finished, it's easy to damp mop clean with no grout line or cracks between tiles to catch dirt., Other Spaces Design
