Even if you have a very small entrance to your home, you can still make a big impact. This is a 3 story townhouse where the front door enters at the second floor. A great sunburst mirror and a classic Cherner chair great guests. Up two stairs and there's a wine storage room with the dining room beyond. And down the stairs is the mother-in-law suite with great art pieces leading the way.

Wall color is Benjamin Moore AF-375 Rattan.

Master Bedroom - Balancing warm and cool colors in the same room, If you look at my rooms, you will see that the furniture and bedding in my two master bedrooms are very similar. This room is the original where I've paired the same "stuff" with a very light blue-gray to balance out the neutrals of the carpet and bedding. You'll see in my other Master Bedroom (which is in my new home), I've paired the same elements with a warm and rich brown shade (Tree Branch from Sherwin Williams). Hallway "Gallery", This is a hallway that runs along the 3rd floor of this home. The space isn't wide enough for any furniture, so I opted to mimic the window arrangement with a row of art framed to the exact same dimensions. Art by Robert Deyber. Family Room - Mixing Neutral Colors with Bold Patterns, This is the more casual Living Room / Family Room in my home. It has an en suite bathroom and huge storage closet, so it could also serve as an additional bedroom for a future buyer. Also, there is an entertainment foyer right outside with a bar and refrigerator. This room comprises half of my fourth floor, with the other half being an outside terrace with an outdoor kitchen.

3/4" x 5" oak hardwood planks were used for the floor in this room and floor was stained and finished on-site.

Master Bedroom - Relaxing in warm neutrals and luxurious bedding, This large Master Bedroom has room for a king size bed, a nice seating area and a media center. I find neutral colors to be the most relaxing, so this room is kept very subdued using only shades of creme and brown.

Master Bath - Sleek, Modern, Minimal, Here is the Master Bath of my new home. Features a jetted tub big enough for two, a separate shower with frameless glass enclosure and ceiling mounted shower head, separate water closet, and dual vanity with wall mounted faucets.

Granite is Cappolovaro by Antolini Luigi. Accent tile by Daltile. Tile is natural travertine. Fixtures by Grohe. Sinks by Koehler. Cabinet hardware by Siro. Swivel mirrors by Restoration Hardware.

Master Closet - Rich, dark finishes with chrome and crystal details, This is my dream closet. If you have seen any of the other rooms in my house, you'll notice that I used the same expresso cabinetry as I did in my kitchen and other parts of the house. The closet has 5 inch wide oak hardwood flooring and lots of great extras including a separate bank of drawers on each end and a shoe closet in the middle with mirror doors that open up to create a 3 way mirror at the entrance. 3 crystal chandeliers provide great light and add some style. After the build out was complete, there wasn't much wall space left, so rather than to paint those areas, I opted to add wood panels instead to give the whole room a rich warm feel. Also, there is a bank of cabinets that goes all the way around the room at the top with doors that close. It's a great place to put all those things that are out of season or that you don't want cluttering up your closet. No space is wasted. Overall dimensions are 8x17.

Dining Room - Multiple seating groups warm an oversize space, I purchased a home mid-construction with an enormous Dining Room, approximately 18'x20'. The room fits between the Kitchen and Living Room and features soaring 12' ceilings and rounded walls - no corners!

Since I don't do a lot of formal entertaining outside of the holidays, I opted to split the room in two. One half is for dining where I have seating for 8. The other half is a lounge area with seating for 6 just outside the kitchen. This allows guests to relax with cocktails and appetizers while I cook right next door in the kitchen.

Our Little Cabin Getaway, Our little rustic cabin has been kept rustic with no electricity, no plumbing and a fireplace for heat. It is a great retreat for us just get away from it all and get back to the simple way of life.. We do use oil lamps, candles and battery operated emergency lights. We presently are in the stages of building a gravity fed outside shower and a thunderbox. We do have a well and plan on assembling a piston style hand pump to it so we can get fresh water when needed. A fire pit is our only means of boiling water and cooking food.. The cabin is located on our home property in the woods so we have the privacy we wanted. Even though we have a home there is something very special about our cabin and the natural way of living. The best part is there are no heat bills, water bills or electricity bills. and yet you have fun doing things for yourself and being creative. , Other Spaces Design

Decoupaged Checkerboard Floors, This basement renovation included the bathroom/laundry room. Freshly painted, the white washer and dryer, along with the cabinetry, go perfectly with the crisp style of checkerboard. The cement floor was smooth but not super level, which is no problem for decoupage!
