Honestly I am not a professional designer and never took a class in this kinda thing. The photos are of my first home I purchased about 6 years ago. At the time all I had was a dining room table base and a mattress. That's it. With a lot of TRIAL and ERROR... and more ERROR finally things started to come together. I hope you enjoy.

The stairway originally had medium oak trim and forest green plush carpet.. the walls were white. It definitely lacked appeal and didn't create a smooth transition from 1st to 2nd floor. Now the stairway is clean , crisp and modern.

This is our new mud room with side entry and powder room. This space was originally a garage bay.

I got my inspiration for this room from the "Turkish Smoking Room" at the Victoria Mansion in Portland Maine. But I went with Victorian designs instead of the Moorish Design in The Victoria Mansion. I hope you see why.

This is my front entrance, which also was completely white before. With a little bargain hunting and paint (my best friend) I thik it made the space much more welcoming.
