we had a builder grade laundry area which is also the only way in the house from the patio/backyard. the area was too narrow and inefficient. we took out a closet from an office and the existing closet in the hall and built in storage benches with hooks and a utility cabinet. we refinished the existing cabinets, added hardware, replaced the floor, purchased stackables and added a full light door.
