"The Swamp", This is the backyard that was supposed to be 'fixed' last Spring. With life happening the year slipped away. This year we are shooting to get it done. This is what we have to start with.........YIKES! *HELP NEEDED*, Pools Design

SoCal backyard retreat and party space, When we bought the home, the pool and spa were in and the overall landscaping layout was in place. The landscaping was overgrown since the home had been empty for over a year, and there was scraggy grass in the "blank" areas around the plantings. We ripped out the grass and put in reddish desert colored river rock and built the firepit. I am more of a lagoon style pool person, but the previous owner was a lap swimmer so he built this large rectangular pool. At first I hated it, but there wasn't much we could do about it. Now I've learned to appreciate the serene stillness of the water in this style of pool and the way the geometric shape plays off the organic, natural feel of the landscaping., Pools Design
