The porch of my Victorian cottage was enclosed back in the 20s. I painted it white with a blue ceiling, refinished the hardwood floors, added a custom built daybed and lots of blue and white. The shelving holds my ironstone and aqua mason jars and bottles, and seagrass baskets are used for storage. A Dash and Albert outdoor rug withstands heavy traffic. The Starfish pillow is from local artist Willywaw. Vintage french grain sacks are used as pillow cases. Since the porch is south facing it gets great sun and warms up enough in winter so we can use it year round!

My cottage has 3 porches in all. One is a balcony . It has french doors into the bedroom gothic style arch & big ceiling fan for hot summer nights. It gives me a birds eye view of my little village and overlooks the park. The front porch just below the balcony houses and old porcelain stove we use as a potting bench & storage. The back porch has yet to claim it's identity. All have gingerbread rails and white wicker seating.

I just redecorated my screened porch in citrus green black and white. My hubby and I have almost all our meals here. It's great for relaxing and we can hear the fountain down below on the deck. Even our cat Pugsley has claimed her space.

Mornings on the porch are so peaceful. Listening to birdsong and drinking that first cup of coffee of the day while the sun shines in is my favorite part of the day. The cool of the evening is also special on the porch. Good meals, good friends and happy family memories....
All of the furniture is either hand me down or yard sale or flea market treasures. I reinvented it all with a few cans of spray paint and fabric. Easy to care for since none of it is too precious to worry about.

Bought a few pillows at target (which got this project started and repainted the swing and glider. We recently replaced some of our 80+ year old windows and repurposed 2 of them for a decorative wall accent for the porch. Still planning to paint the floor a light green.
