Small Porch Re-Do on Teeny Tiny Budget, Are you wanting to decorate or jazz up a space in your home but on a limited budget? Welcome to my world ! I'm unemployed so here's what I did to spruce up my small plain jane mostly white porch. A $2.50 can of spray paint freshened up the swing. Yard sale finds include $1 for the hat hanging on the door, $5 for the pedestal, $2 for the ceramic flower pot and artificial ivy, $1 for the white sleeping cat on the stair, $1 for the display stand (floor vase sits on it) and $1 for the hat on the swing. I found the large floor vase on clearance at Family Dollar for $6 and the Welcome sign I bought online years ago for $20. The small black wrought iron birdbath was $10 at a flea market. The door mat was a gift from our realtor, as was the plant holder from my mother. My father in law made the duck that sits on the railing. The 2 yellow flower pots were $1 each at the Dollar Store. I bought the fringed throw on the swing for $10 at Big Lots. My biggest splurge was $50 for the bench/swing cushion and matching throw pillow from Home Decorators (used a discount coupon plus free shipping). We're stationed here until 2018 so plenty of time to "upgrade" or change things later on. Thanx for visiting my small porch !, Porches Design
