Kitchen that Needs Attention!, This 1925 country kitchen is where my grandmother prepared all the meals with vegetables grown from the garden. I am third generation. When my mother died two years ago, I decided to move in the home I grew up in. I need help. This kitchen needs fixin! Meal preparation and family gatherings are restricted to this tiny space. I have grand ideas but need help in incorporating my vision. The family home is about a mile from the military base and harbor. I like the maritime location because of the soft steady, breezes that blow in from the habor and the horns of the military ships coming and going from the ports. It gives me a sense of comfort. , Kitchens Design

Master Suite - Contemporary remodel, We changed what was a Master bedroom connected to a Master bathroom into a full Master Suite. We took up the carpet and put in cement floors, we took out the large window and put in french sliding doors to give access to the deck and the backyard. The firplace is open to the Master bedroom and the Master Bath and we put in grey/red glass and took out the gas logs. We took the bathroom down to the studs and moved the toilet and took out the bathtub and made a his and hers (his) bathroom with a full walk in showers on both sides of the back wall.
The final part to this Master Suite is the bed- we are using a make shift bed for now as we work toward our dream (and final piece) bed made of iron (cost for bed is $3,000.00) after spending $32,000.00 on the Master Suite makeover it will take some time to get the bed.
I am posting a picture of the bed so you can get an idea of what the final room will look like. , Bedrooms Design
Crawl Space Turned Studio!, Creative use of 4 foot tall crawl/storage space. Formerly our storage - area you have to climb up and in to get into. I needed a studio space. Living in the city and abutted by other buildings...there was no where else to look for extra space! So with 4 feet of unimpeded head room (5 feet between floor joists – I can stand up straight!)...my hobbit hole studio space was created! It has a window, running water, electricity, lights, storage between heating ducts, my bench, work surfaces, anvil, kiln, tools....and all seats on wheels so you don't have to stand very often! You can roll from station to station! Just remember to climb up and crawl in! Believe it or not - it works really well!, Other Spaces Design
