Beach Cottage Chic - No Kitsch Allowed!, I created a sanctuary for myself up on one of the Great Lakes. I live in LA so having a serene environment to escape to was the source of my design inspiration. White slipcovers are machine washable and keep the mood light. My color scheme was inspired by the view outside my windows - the lake the beach and the sky. , Living Rooms Design

repost~ got creative with those lights, ok... I thought of things I could do with those crappy red lights in my kitchen and I thought of painting them a light green and hot glueing mums all aroung the bottom edges to difuse the brightness of the bulbs. But it didn't work!! I can still see the bare bulbs! Help! Any ideas??? Maybe glue some leaves around the bottom on the inside ( to also cover the bare looking stems I didn't want to see) I just don't know what to do now. Maybe just start all over and BUY a shade?? NAW!! I'd rather try to salvage them cuz they DO look kinda cute. I just didn't think it out all the way. Any ideas are welcome!! Thanx ;), Kitchens Design
