We have a very small kitchen and are always on the lookout for ways to make it seem larger. We used to have off-white appliances, an off-white Formica counter-top and a white backsplash. We installed a Corian countertop, new tile backsplash and added stainless steel appliances. We also added pull-out drawers to the pantry and lower cabinets. I think we've succeeded in using all possible space, but does anyone have other other tips to make our kitchen feel even larger?
I enjoyed the layout of my kitchen and we have updated with new countertops (zodiac quartz: cappucino) floor (all-loc tile) and now beautiful Benjamin Moore Holly Berry paint. Its a reflective red and we love it! We also added an Italian tile backsplash over the stove left over from a fireplace surround in the connecting family room.

When I posted my renovated kitchen previously some people thought the utensils on the backsplash were distracting from the countertops. I have recently replaced the utensils with a glass mosaic backsplash and the best part is that I DID IT MYSELF!!! I love to know what you think of the change.

This is my kitchen in my new home. I was at a loss for what to do with color and back splash because the counter tops are ugly.
Now I have painted it a celery green and added a glass mosaic backsplash that has green and blue tiles.
It looks much better now. I am thinking of painting the countertop, but I will wait for a while to see if I can live with it.
Next up is adding hardward--but I am terrified of damaging the cabinets. It always looks so easy, but I tend to find a way to mess up.
