We turned our 2 room basement into a spectacular, roomy, sports bar/mancave/family room/entertaining area. Of course we are Pittsburgh Sports fans all the way! My husband is an amazing DIY'er

When we moved into the house 19 years ago the basement was "finished", but awful. It was not a priority until it became so neglected and HORRIBLE that we didn't want to go down there for any reason. We decide to remodel it as much to clean it up as have new space and to do it as cheaply as possible (something I've never been good at).

Transformed an unfinished and undesirable basement into a 1,500 square foot multifunctional family living retreat. The new and improved space includes a bedroom, two bathrooms, storage, exercise room, home theater, and bar/game room. This project took a little over a year to complete and my 69-year-old father did 85% of the work with help from friends, family, and myself.

Lower level powder room with furniture type vanity and granite top. Wood stained ceiling & tile flooring this was inspiring for the rest of the rooms. We did the ceiling in this room ourselves.
Spruced up the basement powder room with left over porcelain floor tiles from our kitchen project and painted with left over paint (Fisherman's Net, by Olympic) from the master bath project. Installed a new vanity. Found another granite remnant (color is verde Laura) at the local granite yard and bought off the shelf sconces, sink and faucets from a big home improvement store.
