Czack Home Gym, My husband and I moved into our house in 2008, and one of the things we wanted to do was get the basement finished so we can set up our exercise equipement. I told him that we didn't need to finish the whole basement to have a cool home gym. I had this idea in my head that I thought would look really cool and just rolled with it...literally. It took me four months, and it was well worth it. It just goes to show you that with a little (a lot) of hard work really does pay off. I'll explain in detail with the pictures what I used to accomplish this project., Basements Design
Complete Basement Build - In TWO months, We just finished (or at least mostly finished) a complete build out in our 84 year old basement. It had some amazing bones....twelve foot ceilings, a walk out, a few windows and some pretty cool structural concrete arches....the rest was all us. Our home was on a historic home tour last week so we had approximately 65 days to remove concrete floors and build out the basement. We are TIRED but getting excited about final design touches. Not finished yet. Will post as we progress, Basements Design
Basement Apartment Needs Help, I have appox a 1000 sq. foot basement that has 2 bedrooms, a full bath, living area/dining area, kitchen(although its empty) and a laundry space. It has been basically empty since we bought our house 10 yrs ago other then our son sleeping down there when he lived with us, he has just bought his own home now and we have our daughter who lives with us,with her 2 children, a 1 yr old and a 4 yr. old, little girls, But it is getting very crowded upstairs, we'd love to make the basement into an apartment for her and her children. It doesnt need much, just someone that knows what their doing on a low budget (lol) we would also need some kind of a 2nd exit in case of an emergency for them if they were to move down there and have no idea how we'd do that. It would be so Great to have them still close by, but Not Quite So Close. :) Please Help!! , Basements Design
Basement Apartment, This is the basement of the house I grew up in. My family turned it into an apartment 20 years ago for my aunt to live with us. Five years ago she moved out and I moved down there and now I get to turn it into my own space while I go to college!, Basements Design
