I renovated this bathroom in my condo. It had not been touched in 40 years. The 70's tiles had to go and the color needed and update. It is a small bathroom with just enough space for everything you need.

Unlike the old-world basement bath in our previous house (see "Roman" bath if interested) the basement in our new house got a simple powder room. No "party" shower no sauna ... just a clean almost minimalist look. When is less more? As always thanks for visiting!
CEILING PAINT is different from the wall paint. Ceiling paint is a light silver metallic paint by Ralph Lauren (Home Depot), while walls are painted with Ben Moore Smokestack Gray. Ceiling took 5 coats but was well worth it.

After years of living with etched glass walls with brass trim we tore it all out and replaced it with a modern walk-in doorless shower. The rest of the bathroom was updated with tropic brown counters, vessel sinks, and Nexus cabinets in brown. We paneled our bathtub with a simple nexus cover panel and replaced all of the brass with chrome. Our shower and bath tile was accented with a strip of gray marble mosaic with a travertine liner above and below. The shower pan was replaced with the marble mosaic as well. The floor tile was removed and replaced with Armstrong vinyl tiles to match the field wall tile on the diagonal in a brick pattern. The big glass mirror was replaced with modern mirrored medicine cabinets. This is a very low maintenance bathroom.

This is the eating nook off my kitchen. I love the windows and the corner cabinets BUT the color of the cabinets is awful! They are a 90's yellowish-pink color. My color palette is dark brown (wall color, expresso colored furnture, leather on the seating, suede drapes and lampshade), cream, with green accents. I know I want to paint the insides a contrasting color to the cabinets. So do I paint the cabinets cream like the trim (at least it would get rid of the yello-pink tones)? Paint them a dark brown? But won't that be too much with the walls and furniture? Or get brave and do an olive (grayish green) or go really wild and do a lime green (not neon of course)? So if I go green on the cabinets do I use the brown wall color on the insides or do I do a wallpaper? AND whatever I chose has to work with the kitchen since it is 1 BIG space! I would love to restain my cabinets but it is too time consuming and expensive so painting is the better option for me since I will be doing it myself on the weekends and nights after work! Oh and the kitchen is another issue all together! C'mon DIYers gimme what ya got! Pleassssse!
