Open to kitchen, our family room is a mix of formal with comfortable.I have had the leather seating group for 12 years and will change it one day. But for now it provides a "wipe up clean" surface for my grandson and two dogs to enjoy.Walls are Benjamin Moore Paint in the new scrubable flat finish. Fireplace and all the millwork ,trimwork was done by my handy hubby!

The great clients of this gorgeous coastal estate allowed us to design their property in the same exquisite style and manner of their interior environment.
One of the major design components of this design is the grand and majestic Cabana that encompasses multiple functions and areas of luxury retreat. The Cabana has a luxurious restroom and shower, with an elegant changing room that even has personal lockers for guests to use! Also included under the roof of the Cabana is a large dining room, an opulent cook center, and a quaint fireplace room with optimum views of the ocean and coastline. Some of the other fantastic amenities include multiple pottery fountains, a fabulous pool and infinity spa, and large dining and lounge patios. Also included in this estate grounds is an area for the clients 'secret' garden, an elegant and functional citrus and vegetable terrace garden, and even a sheltered courtyard with a grand fireplace that is framed by matching elegant pottery fountains

Living room split into two areas. As you walk in on the right is where most time is spent on L shaped corner sofa. This faces a slim LED TV, XB Kinect, WII, XBOX, DVD player etc. There is an fire also built into the wall.

On the other side two leather sofas with coffee table in middle. Music system mounted on the wall. Mostly used for guests and listening to music.

Lighting is via spot lights and one up light. Two coloured spot lights under bay window for night useage.

The flooring was a labour of love to install and polish! All flooring on the ground level is wood parquet (parkay. Each block is about an inch and half thick.

The French doors lead into the kitchen (not parquet but tiles on floor. These are mostly kept shut and kitchen accessed via the front landing.

Before and after pictures of the restored fireplaces. All the mantels are original - and you can see that they still need some work. They were originally coal burning but we went back in with reproduction coal burning units using propane. The units and tiles were bought from a man in Maine that ships them over from England. These were a big investment but I couldn't imagine having anything else! Now I'm so glad we did it - they are unique and add so much to the rooms.
