It's fun to walk the edge of the property and look in at the gardens. It's so different from looking out.

I wanted the hallway to flow into the dining and living room. The walls are Expedition Khaki by Behr, with a chocolate glazed faux accent stripe that goes along one wall.
I changed the fixtures to the hanging lights to give it a "club-like" entrance.

We have a wooded lot that ba kes up to a golf course. I always wanted to landscape the yard but, with so many large trees I could never get anything to grow except for some lilly of the valley and hostas. Additionally, we had an issue of teenagers cutting thru our yard to get to the neighborhood park. During their treck they would trample some of our hostas just as they were emerging in the spring. So I asked my husband to remove a few large trees and create a path and planting islands. To top it off, I wanted a gate at the side of the yard that would make fhe backyard mode private and hopefully make fhe teenagers think twice about cutting thru the yard.
I hope you like the results.
