Bland Kitchen with updated appliances and Hardwood Floors, Changed the flooring, Appliances, and Lighting (need to add more). What should be the next big thing we do?, Kitchens Design
Living Room/Kitchen , This is my living room/sitting room off foyer. Kitchen is off the back next to sitting room. All rooms have an open, one large room feel. Kitchen needs help with paint. Again, developer used more orange/yellow colors as seen in other rooms on profile., Living Rooms Design
Culinary Haven, We really enjoy cooking in this space. The Brazilian Cherry floors are continued in the kitchen. We have added two Afghan wool carpets to add color and warmth. The counters are granite. The cabinets run floor to ceiling and are a light colored solid wood. We think the best feature of the kitchen is the lighted, top cabinets. This kitchen has lots of light with two pendant lights over the island, can lights throughout, halogen lighting under the cabinets and led lighting under the footer of the cabinets that shows off the beautiful floors. The appliances are all stainless with a double oven, convection and conventional. The large island includes a gas stove top as well as cabinets and shelves for storage. We also have a farmer sink that is deep and very functional. The large windows and French doors leading to the deck let in lots of light. There is lots of storage space but the walk in pantry is a bit small. Finally, the crumb vacume feature makes cleaning up small messes a breeze. , Kitchens Design
My Big Kitchen Renovation Jan. 2011, Finally got rid of the kitchen I never liked to a kitchen I love. Guilty pleasure...the foot kick in the island for my central vac. No more bending over with a dustbin. Please share your comments. Brutal honesty is appreciated., Kitchens Design
A Taste of Tuscany..in Delaware???, These are photos of the main living area(s) of my home. The space is definitely Tuscan inspired, but like all of my designs I try to balance the space with tasteful, quality furnishing and accessories that fit the space appropriately, instead of overcrowding the space with every Tuscan thing I could find. Some of the pieces were custom made, but most were store bought.
The foyer mirror was originally a different color, so in order to make it fit I painted it with gold and oil rubbed bronze spray paint and coated it with a flat varnish to finish it off. I usually have a real palm in the foyer, but it is the middle of winter and I can't find anywhere! My last one had a centipede nest in the root of the plant so needless to say it couldn't stay in the house! It took me a week to figure out where those things were coming from!
I recently updated flooring upstairs as well as the railing on the steps which used to be white wooden spindles. In order to replace the railing I had to also replace the entire staircase! So to save a little bit of money I did the staining myself (what a pain!). I hope you guys enjoy the space!
