If the link doesn't work and it says link doesn't exist on the blog, IT DOES EXIST. Just copy and paste it into the browser and it will work. I don't know why that happens sometimes. (The link adds a

at the end of the webaddress, you can also just delete that and it'll take you to the tutorial)

I finally purchased a new couch and I love it. The couch is the Claudia Sofa from Macy's.
Now I'm still on the hunt for a new coffee table. I'm kind of getting sick of my ottoman which I had only bought because my kids were toddlers and I didn't want them to get hurt on hard edges and corners.
For the coffee table I think I will go with a gold Hollywood Regency table or a modern chrome and marble top table. Lets see what I can find in an affordable option.
A lot of people always ask me why I have light colored flooring even though that the trend is to go really dark. The reason is dust and dirt! Most of my friends that have dark floors go crazy trying to keep their dark hardwood floors looking clean. I don't, because you can't see the dust and cat hair from 4 cats as much. That is also the reason why I have a traditional persian style area rug. I actually would much rather have a graphic patterned rug but they are hard to keep clean again. I've tried other rugs before. The pattern of my rug is forgiving!
That is the reason why I have the ikea pillows. They are easy to wash and keep clean. And if one is ruined, they are cheap and easy to replace.
I guess I'd rather compromise with my large busy family. Two kids and four cats do make a lot of dirt but my house mostly looks clean! , Living Rooms Design

Front Hall Table, After finding this great Chinoiserie mirror at Goodwill, I first put it over a bench in the front hall and then decided a table was more fun and functional. Which do you like?, Other Spaces Design
Oraganic Bath, The features of my apartment are great...so no need to mask or hide anything...just a few accessories from West Elm, Pottery Barn, and Ikea..plan on painting. , Bathrooms Design
Your Sanctuary at Home- The Master Bedroom, I wanted a calm, neat, symmetrical space for our resting spot at the end of the day. All decor was bought on a budget and were great finds. For details on the finds, just got to my blog as there are too many to list here

New Blue Living Room, Our living room was a dark red. We painted it a beautiful green/blue ("Wythe Blue Benjamin Moore) and gave all the trim a fresh coat of high gloss white to make it shine. , Living Rooms Design
