Open Floor Plan Kitchen/Family Room, This space is opened up immensely with the addition of the Nana Wall creating a seamless transition between indoors and outdoors which makes this space great for entertaining family and friends. The colors are neutral with pops of color so that the spaces can be played with changing accessories out seasonally or just simply on a whim., Kitchens Design
Living Room/Dining Room Remodel, This was a dramatic remodel of a Living Room & Dining Room open floor plan of a duplex in San Diego. The home owners called me in to help them with several design issues. Here's what we did...a custom built-in for the TV, Games, component and DVD storage. New furniture - I designed a custom sofa in the just-right dimensions and the just-right fabric as well as accent pillows using fabrics that are fresh and colorful. Window treatments - I designed a solution for their windows which turned out beautifully. The clients were having a difficult time choosing paint colors - I designed a custom paint scheme for them using three shades of Sherwin Williams paint [the best]. The flooring was replaced with Travertine and a Listelle border creating a tile "area rug" in the foyer then the rest of the floor was installed with great through-body porcelain tile. I designed a lighting plan which includes lighting artwork, halogen recessed fixtures on dimmer in both the dining and living rooms and lighting the "stair-step" niches near the built-in so they can feature accessories of their choice. The new 7" crown moulding and 4" wall base really frames out the spaces. We also began to carpet up the stairs with a great Stainmaster Berber carpeting.

Note: The BEFORE photos are at the end. So when you see this awesome transformation I hope you rate it highly. Thanks!!, Living Rooms Design
San Diego Living Room Remodel, A living room I designed for a home by the beach. This home is an interesting architecture; it is all on one level and is part contemporary with Spanish elements. The clients' styles are clean lined, clear spaces with no kitsch. As you will see in the BEFORE photos, what they had did not follow their aesthetic. As you will see in the AFTER photos is what they got totally fits them; how their family functions and how they want to see the world around them at home. It was a challenge to do this room, but kudos to my clients for trusting me because I know they are glad they did., Living Rooms Design
Kitchen Remodel - So Cal Tract Home, These were lovely clients of mine who moved to San Diego from Maryland. They purchased a lovely home but wanted a lot of re-decorating and for the kitchen we actually gutted it. They are fans of the "Old World" style; golds, woods with a lot of detail, stone, etc. So, that's what I gave them. I am showing the kitchen and the adjacent family room because they are the same room and I needed to design them to work together. This is one of my favorite designs., Kitchens Design
