Made for the Kids!, This is my upstairs bathroom designed for my 2 children. I wanted it to be fresh, clean, & reflect the kids. I used cream paint w/whilte chair rall & wainscoting. I purchased a white cabinet for $30 cut off the top & replaced it w/granite & an undermount sink. I found a fun mirror for $8. I purchased the accessories at pottery barn: matching curtain, mat, towels, & plates that I put on the wall for art. I used the same granite from the sink on the windowsill & over the baseboard below. I used fun blue title in the bath & white tile w/fun blue inserts on the floor. In order to fit the towels, I put them on the door & had the door swing out instead of the normal in to create more room. Finally, I used all crome fixtures throughout., Bathrooms Design
The Haunting of Storybook Hollow (Our yard haunt), "Every Halloween, the villains of Storybook Hollow rise from the grave to haunt their fabled foes" This is our Halloween yard display, our family works together on it every year. We are mad about Halloween! We started with the haunted story-land last year wanting to create something gore-free and better suited for the younger kids who visit our yard. Everything is made from scratch (exept for the ghost by the front door, he's from Halloween USA) We all have lots of fun putting this display together!!, Holidays Design
The Moveable Playhouse!, We are currently renting a house with a small backyard... I wanted to build a playhouse for my boys that could be completely taken apart and moved. I also wanted something that would 'attract' rather than 'detract' from our exterior space. I built it in the garage for two reasons... I knew it was going to be tricky working in the hot New Mexico sun and was worried about wood warping and second, it ensured that I would be able to take it apart. Amazingly, I only had to cut off one misplaced screw in order to drop the walls and move it out! The whole project took about two weeks working on a part time basis... now I've got a list of parents that would like me to help them build one for their kids in their backyards!, Other Spaces Design
Home Exterior & Yard Revamp Project, These are before & after photos of our homes exterior space from a total home remodel we did on our 91 years old house built in 1920. Enjoy!, Home Exterior Design
92 Year Old Bathroom Makeover..., We did a complete home makeover on our house in Merced, CA. This is the master bath we created when we closed in the front bedroom "Jack & Jill" door leading into the shared bathroom. This created a Master Bedroom with private bath in our 1300 square foot home built in 1920., Bathrooms Design
Tanner's Big Sister Bedroom, With a Brother soon to be here my granddaughter wanted a big sister room. Damask, stripes, polka dots & rhinestones were the inspiration for this bedroom. I painted two shades of pink stripes on the wall one color satin finish and the other in a gloss finish. I created a scalloped border around the room with a circular sponge and filled the space in with polka dots. I used fabric patterns of black& white stripes, Black & white damask and black &white polka dots to create all the curtains and to add accents to the damask comforter. I created window cornices for the double window and one for a beautiful background for her bed. I created a vanity out of an end table with an adorable mini chandelier to accent the area. I also created a matching doll bed for her dolls which was the perfect finish for an Amazing Big Sister Bedroom., Girls' Rooms Design
