Hello all you rmsers. This is my first renovation project that included ripping out a wall. Please let me know what you think of the transformation and also let me know what you think of the colour on the walls. . The counters are black granite with a silver sparkle to them. I love the flooring and I am partial to white cupboards because you can change the wall colour to whatever you feel like. From a Niagara falls canadian girl.

Kitchen previously had tile counters, and missing appliances (was foreclosed home). We replaced all countertops, added glass tile backsplash and extended bar counter another 6 inches. Butler pantry matches kitchen countertops and backsplash. New flooring continued into kitchen with 20" ceramic tile with 4" granite inserts and 4" baseboards.

This was my starter home. my husband and I worked on the kitchen and dining room for a month to give it a facelift. Since we're students, we did that as inexpensively as possible, spending $2K for the whole kitchen & dining room renovation.

We turned the kitchen and laundry room into one large kitchen. We did this by moving the laundry area upstairs and removing the wall between the two spaces. The house was built in 1911 therefore we wanted the kitchen to be in the spirit of 1911 but updated and functional. The one learning from this project is go with your first instinct. After much back and forth, we ended up with white cabinets and celadon glass tile, which was our original choice. We couldn't be happier with how the space turned out.
