A full renovation. Ceramic design tile in the tub area & below the marble chair rail. Matching marble on the windowsill & soap/shampoo holder in tub. I bought an old antique cabinet, cut the top off & put on granite w/a drop in sink. I used oil rubbed bronze fixtures throughout. I used a textured paint, purchased sconces, & a large mirror to continue w/the old world look.
My husband and I recently renovated our powder room. Out with the mustard yellow and builder grade and in with the granite counter tops and color much more pleasing to the eyes! Check out more details at our blog: http://doordiy.wordpress.com/2011/05/18/you-painted-the-bathroom-what-color/

I finally had a chance to makeover my upstairs hall bathroom. It went from "What were they thinking?!" to "Wow, that's beautiful!"
While my hope is to eventually replace the formica vanity, as well as the teal/cream/glass tiling in the shower, we worked with what we had with a little paint and some overstock.com fixture purchases.
