European Eclectic in A Mountain Retreat, My entire house has been remodeled over a six year period. The designs are mine and have been made on a dime. Eclectic as they are some would say they are over the top but each room is warm inviting and family friendly., Living Rooms Design

Dog-Proof Fern Garden and Fountain, My fern garden in my backyard, complete with new mulch, stone pathway, my custom, one-of-a-kind fountain with hidden reservoir, and the stars of the show, my plethora of Ostrich Ferns. I own both a Saint Bernard and a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, so the challenge was in finding a fencing solution to keep both out of my abundant ferns, but still allow me to enjoy the view. I found my fencing at Lowe's, and not only was it cost-effective, but it has withheld my ambitious escapologists (dogs) and has allowed me to install a water feature that hasn't become my dogs' drinking fountain. The ferns have grown in this corner, behind my 4-season porch, longer than I have owned the house. This Spring, I added the mulch, transplanted ferns from the whiskey barrel, run an outdoor outlet in the back of the garden, and installed a stone pathway leading to the fountain., Gardens Design
Beyond Water Fall, Wanted to break up massive 'green grass' yard with a focal point. Added concrete slab which I hope to finish with a decorative concrete stain once the 'dust' settles, water feature, columns (lights to be added) and brick planters. Feedback accepted., Yards Design
The Fountain Patio, When we talk about blending home and garden this is a perfect example.

Drawing on California's Spanish Colonial architectural heritage, the garden works to enhance the architecture of the home. The plants, common to the Mediterranean, are both colorful and drought tolerant. The use of wrought iron is a tradition directly from the Old World. It is timeless, durable and looks like jewelry.
