Halloween, for me, is about magic and whimsy. I like decorating with a "Yester-year" style, using little witches and black cats, paper mache pumpkin heads and crate paper ruffles. My haunt, inside and out, is "little kid friendly" and I won't put anything up that will scare them.
"Every Halloween, the villains of Storybook Hollow rise from the grave to haunt their fabled foes" This is our Halloween yard display, our family works together on it every year. We are mad about Halloween! We started with the haunted story-land last year wanting to create something gore-free and better suited for the younger kids who visit our yard. Everything is made from scratch (exept for the ghost by the front door, he's from Halloween USA) We all have lots of fun putting this display together!!

Love decorating for fall! It's my favorite time of year to doll the front porch up with pumpkins, gourds, berries, twigs, mums and sunflowers! Hope you're all enjoying your autumn as well! ; )

The pumpkins are from Michaels printed out fancy letters traced then painted and finished off with a spray of matte sealer. The crows are from Michaels as well. I spray painted some branches black and stuck them in the window box and attached the crows with wire. Don't forget to look at my More Halloween Fun space too for inspiration.

This great gathering table inspired me to throw a dinner party...found at a local thrift shop for $29.00, this solid oak table will easily seat 12!!! I've "mixed & matched " my Lenox Butler's Pantry place settings for a more informal look.
