I've been moving things around here quite a bit lately: I finally found the perfect spot for our tiki-hut - it as a little bit too big for the entrance and wasn't very functional there. We have a lot of people over, so it's perfect to keep the glass water container on it all the time now. We also got new ceiling fans - it's very hot here in Hawaii, and I wanted the fans to look more tropical so I got the woven leaf look. We added more seating and changed a few more things around:

I just recently graduated from college and moved back into my parents home. My bedroom used to be deep pink and black, so clearly it needed an update. This is what I came up with...
I'm not quite finished..my next step is bedding..I was thinking of getting some burnt orange sheets and decorative pillows and a beige comforter. What do you think? Also, I'm getting a different bedside lamp, some flowers for my night stand, and burnt orange candles for the candle holder on my dresser..Any other suggestions would be helpful!

This is actually a repost. If you look at my other post on our bedroom you can see how it looked before. I knew that we needed a headboard so my husband and I made our own. We were on a small budget so we only spent around twenty dollars for the headboard and I think it makes a big difference!! I also bought a different curtain panel and stretched it across the window as far as I could. Another change would be the pillows, I cut back on the number of pillows I had on the bed and the arrangement. We bought new bedding too. I also put up a mirror instead of the old shelf we had there. I really enjoy this space so much!

check out my before pics on my previous post!!! it was really dark and so much wood! ive painted the countertops with giani granite, new barstools, new table and i painted that(still need chairs, sprayepainted hardware (altho maybe i should do brushed nickel? new backsplash (sticky floor tiles lol new paint, curtains and some wall decor i made for myself. all of this has cost me less than 200.00 including table.

I am still working on it but so far I have added the circles wall art from Pier1 and new bedding from Walmart's website. I am excited to see what you all think! Any ideas? Have at it! Thanks!
