I have a three year old who is infatuated with Lightning McQueen and the world of Cars, so when we moved to a new home, I took the opportunity to create a little slice of Radiator Springs for him to live in.

We updated my son's bedroom above the garage by adding a dormer window for safety, The whole room was decorated based on the things he loves and cherish. We made the dormer into a reading nook!
I was looking for a vibrant gender neutral color scheme to decorate my baby boy's room. I also wanted a room that could grow with him without loosing its playfulness. And I wanted to use a vibrant color like orange. The alphanumeric wallpaper is the focal point of the nursery. Its black and gray pattern gives a special touch to the space. It just catches your eyes when you enter there room, and I think it makes a beautiful contrast against the bright orange bedding set and hot air balloon mobile that hangs from the ceiling. The result is a gender neutral, vibrant and colorful baby room.

I have been working on organizing some key areas in my workspace so that I can move around easier. I hung two ladders on the ceiling, built a paint cabinet from a bunch of scrap wood, whittled up some shelves for the 8' lumber, built a lumber rack for everything else, then also built a fold down workbench.
I also posted step by step instructions for each project on my DIY blog which can be found at wilkerdos.blogspot.com. So if you think one of my projects could help organize your space, check out the posts and pictures I put together.

This is the last available room in my house but needs to double as a guest room when someone visits so I wanted to room to be more mature in decor. I went against my mother's recommendation and I chose dark charcoal on top and super light gray on the bottom on the walls, glad I did! It is Aura paint from BM, by far my fav to paint with though it is a pretty penny.
Mint/aqua, yellow and white compliment the navy. Most of the items here I got from Home Goods including the Safavieh rug. Changing table and crib were from my daughter's room. Drapes from World Market. Glider (my daughter's as well) from Walmart. I hope you like it!
